Jennifer Q. Griffin is an associate at the law firm of Kendall Maddox and Associates, Attorneys and Financial Planners. Her law practice is focused in the areas of elder law, Medicaid for nursing home care, Veterans Administration Aid and Attendance, estate planning, trust administration, probate, guardianship and conservatorship.
Mrs. Griffin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Alabama State University in 1993. She obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1997. While in law school, she served as Student Articles Editor of the Law & Psychology Review and was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
Mrs. Griffin is a member of both the Alabama State Bar Association and the Birmingham Bar Association. She is a council member and a former chairperson of the Elder Law Section of the Alabama State Bar Association which is a section devoted solely to addressing elder law issues of Alabama’s older adults. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham which is a multi-disciplinary professional association that provides educational and networking opportunities for estate planning professionals. Additionally, she is an associate member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, a premier organization that fosters excellence in estate planning
